Responsibilities

Pack 198 is a volunteer run group of families committed to providing high quality fun and educational programs for our Scouts. Everyone in our pack has responsibilities to ensure a successful, safe, and fun program.

Responsibilities of Cub Scouts

  • Do your best.
  • Be helpful to others.
  • Be prepared by coming to Cub Scout activities in uniform.
  • Be courteous and respectful to Scout leaders and other Cub Scouts.

Responsibilities of Parents

  • Provide a home for your Scout where he or she finds love and security.
  • Help your Scout with Cub Scout achievements and advancement.
  • Take an interest in their Cub Scout’s activities.
  • Assist the den and pack as needed by volunteering for at least one event or activity.
  • Provide and/or arrange for transportation of your Scout to and from Scout meetings.
  • Complete and stay up-to-date on Youth Protection Training for the safety of all Scouts.

Responsibilities of Leaders

  • Be on time and prepared with activities.
  • Provide a safe environment for all Scouts
  • Complete and stay up-to-date on Youth Protection Training for the safety of all Scouts.
  • Follow safety guidelines established by the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Be registered and position trained through the Boy Scouts of America.
  • Communicate with families about Cub Scouting activities and plans.
